Torghatten and Oma Baatbyggeri signed Wednesday 28. August 2024 an agreement for the construction of two new electrically operated ferries. The new ferries are in excess of 49 meters long, has a beam of 13 meters and will carry 95 passengers and 28 cars. The ferries will be built in aluminium.
The Australian magazine “Work Boat World” has named Oma Baatbyggeri AS’s newbuild no. 545 FOB SWATH 10 as “Best SWATH Crewboat” in connection with the magazine’s annual award ceremony for the year 2021.
Oma Baatbyggeri AS, in Stord, delivered its new build number 550 M/S «Dagning» to Florø Skyssbåt AS on Wednesday 25. October 2023. Oma Baatbyggeri AS and Florø Skyssbåt AS signed the contract for the 30-meter cargo/passenger catamaran in March 2022.
